From Glasgow by car
Follow signs to Loch Lomond and Crianlarich on the A82. Proceed to Fort William, from which you can take the A830 to Mallaig for the ferry crossing to Armadale on Skye (for which you must have an advance reservation). Alternatively, continue on the A82 from Fort William to Spean Bridge and onwards to Invergarry, where you should turn left on to the A87 and follow signs to Kyle of Lochalsh and the Skye Bridge. Travel time: 4 to 5 hours.
From Inverness by car
Take the A82 via Loch Ness, signposted to Invermoriston and Kyle of Lochalsh. At Invermoriston, turn left to join the A877 (which becomes the A87) to Kyle of Lochalsh and the Skye Bridge. Travel time: 2 hours.

From Edinburgh by car
Follow signs to the Forth Road Bridge (on the A90) and continue on the M90 to Perth, where you should join the A9 northbound. Turn left at Dalwhinnie, and follow the A889 to Spean Bridge, where a right turn takes you on to the A82, signposted to Invergarry and Kyle of Lochalsh. At Invergarry, turn left to join the A87 to Kyle of Lochalsh and the Skye Bridge. travel time: 4 to 5 hours.
Onward directions from the Skye Bridge to Kinloch
After crossing the bridge, turn right at the roundabout, joining the A87 signposted Portree. Proceed for 5 miles, then turn left on to the A851 towards Armadale. Kinloch is well-signposted 5 miles ahead on the left. A mile-long private drive connects the main road with the North and South houses. Reception is in the North House.
Onward directions from the Mallaig/Armadale ferry crossing
From Armadale, take the A851 north towards Isle Ornsay and Broadford. Kinloch is well-signposted 10 miles ahead on the right. A mile-long private drive connects the main road with the North and South houses. Reception is in the North House.
By air
Easy-jet flies to Inverness Airport from London Gatwick and Luton, from which we can arrange transfer by car to Skye. For fares and flight information, visit www.easyjet.com. Although there are no scheduled flights to Skye, private planes may land at the small airstrip close to Kinloch, subject to permissions.
By rail
Kyle of Lochalsh is served by the rail network, and the line both north and south traverses scenery of outstanding splendour. A taxi service is available for the onward journey from Kyle of Lochalsh station to Kinloch.
