DINING AT KINLOCH
Award winning food
As the home of Scotland's best-loved cook, Kinloch is justly famed for its marvellous food and is Skye’s only Michelin-starred restaurant. It is also one of only seven restaurants in Scotland to be awarded the Michelin Guide’s ‘Red Grapes’ for their wine list. Use the links below to jump down the page to our menus:
Award winning hospitality
The kitchen team is headed up by Marcello Tully who has worked very closely with Claire to devise menus that reflect their mutual passion for the finest local and seasonal food. Marcello was recently awarded Rising Star CHEF OF THE YEAR, at the 2009 Hotel Awards and also received 3 AA rosettes.
In the dining-room of Kinloch's North House, crisp white linen napery, vintage silver cutlery, and perfectly polished glassware provide appropriately splendid compliments to the exceptional food. Here, under the watchful gaze of Macdonald ancestors whose portraits line the walls, guests feast on outstanding produce from Scotland's rich seasonal larder including local poultry, game and shellfish, hot-smoked salmon from South Uist, and Buccleuch Estate beef.
Dinner at Kinloch Lodge
Kinloch's daily-changing dinner menus (from £55.00 p/p) are shaped by Claire and Marcello's personal passions and perennially popular recipe ideas. Compelling choices for committed carnivores are offset by tempting, locally-sourced seafood options.
The excellence of the food is matched by Kinloch's outstanding wine list, featuring familiar favourites together with rare and exceptional vintages and unique wine, whisky and beer flights, tailored each day to the menu. Carefully selected to accompany the fabulous food, these flights arrive in a presentation case with an information card about each beverage.
Dinner is served each evening from 6.30pm until 9pm.
Lunch at Kinloch Lodge
Lunch at Kinloch is an equally memorable experience. Choose from an inspired menu (two course £26.95 or three courses £29.95).
Lunch is served daily from 12.00pm until 1.30pm.
Afternoon Tea at Kinloch Lodge
Traditional afternoon tea is served in the drawing rooms by the log fires and is a perfect example of Highland hospitality. Aultbea smoked salmon sandwiches, fruit tartlets filled with crème patisserie and outstanding very chocolatey cake will keep you topped up until dinner. A full afternoon tea is £14.95 p/p, or with a glass of ‘fizz’ £19.95.
Breakfast at Kinloch
Winner of the Best Breakfast award at 2009 Hotel awards, the famous Kinloch breakfast includes a health-conscious selection of muesli, fresh fruits, and local dairy yoghurts, together with porridge, kippers and eggs florentine alongside the full traditional cooked breakfast, using only the finest locally sourced ingredients.
Breakfast is served daily from 8.30am until 9.30am.
